About Us

Shadybrook Hitching Post is operated by myself, family, friends and amazing team coordinators. My passion for creating fantastic weddings began 7 years ago when my niece thought it was the perfect area for an outdoor wedding. Why not? We had spent many a time here for  campouts, bbq’s, parties–so we ran with it.  And it was stunning! So, as the grounds came together, the wedding ensued and the photos emerged, the idea of a potential career shift came into focus for me. Adding on a tranquil waterfall, elegant pavilion then building our beautiful rustic barn—we knew we had something very special! Every person that has been involved here at Shadybrook has invested a little bit of their heart—which makes it even more special to us. We want YOU to fall in love with Shadybrook. Whether you are Minimalistic to Ultimate Glam–we have you covered! We love to see when our couples post and repost their photos–it reflects how precious these memories are and we are very proud to be a small portion of this important time in their lives. The Essentials provide an amazing baseline for your special day that you can expand on, customize and adapt as you see fit. We offer several options that are customizable so your event is uniquely YOU! Select the right tier for you and get started with your easy and straightforward wedding planning. Our combined experience benefits you throughout event planning and our work ethic is like no other. Our pricing begins at $5675 and only varies depending on the tier you choose.

With our Silver Package, you can enjoy the very best of what our facility and grounds have to offer. Whatever you envision, we provide an incredible foundation to help get you started. Use our decor for a minimalist, elegant, rustic setting or bring in your own! We will recommend extraordinary vendors!! Silver Package is a great value with all we include and exactly what many soon-to-be married couples are looking for – a beautiful setting without skimping on quality or service- so that you can create your vision and have a blissful experience on one of the most memorable days of your life!

The Platinum Package is the favored wedding planning experience! It not only provides all of our necessary essentials, it includes partial wedding planning: booking vendors, assisting with timeline of your overall plan—and you’ll feel supported throughout the entire process. As your special day approaches, we will be there for you from start to finish to make sure your vision has come true. From vendor liaisons to coordinating timelines, we have the basics covered so you can focus on choosing your "Flair". Its nice to know you can anticipate a worry-free experience that will give you peace of mind knowing that we are available for support anytime! 

Elite Package offers a truly memorable event-planning experience. The essentials included of course, customizable vendors booked according to your specific desires, planning all the details with assistance every step of the way. What's more, our wedding planners and coordinators take day-of-coordinating and vendor liaison to an even higher level to make sure that your ideal event comes together perfectly. From start to finish, we handle vendors, decorating, set up, timelines etc. With Elite Package, expecting the unexpected is no longer a worry - instead, it's assurance that your special day beautifully unfolds according to an impressive timeline created specifically for you; allowing you to relish in an unforgettable celebration without any stress!​

**Our service fee for planning services (Platinum & Elite) are based on venue pricing; additional vendor services billed individually per vendor except for our cleaning crew and coordinators :)**

FAQ

Why choose Shadybrook Hitching Post over other vendors? Venue flexibility is a must in achieving your dream event--and we get it. We believe in keeping YOU at the heart of your event where you should be! You have all the options here--just a ceremony, just a reception--or both! Up to 275 people inside or 400 outside. With a beautiful foundation already created for you, you do not need many extras to make your day incredible. Unless you want to!!!

Why are there service fees? For the silver package, there is no service fee--you rent our venue and we make recommendations for vendors.  You do the footwork for your wedding.  Our platinum and elite packages--we do the footwork. Service fees cover the time it takes to prepare your event and provide staffing.

What is the cancellation policy? We would be sorry to hear of a need to cancel. At this time, refunds are dependant upon time frame and booking a comparable event. If cancelling within 60 days of your event the full amount estimated is due. We are here for you so please discuss any issues and see if we can assist in resolving them! You chose us for a reason so let’s keep you!

What are your scheduled payment plans? $500 will save your date and payment options can be discussed for what fits your budget. Final payment is expected by your pre event meeting approximately one month before your event.

Can we access the venue before our event? Yes! You can access the Barn by 10 am the morning of your event.  We can also schedule revisits as needed so you feel confident in event preparation! The best part about us is you do not need alot of extras to make your wedding memorable and gorgeous. People will be talking about your event for years to come!

Do I have to choose a tier right away after booking? You are not obligated to to choose a tier after initially booking with us. We still make recommendations of our favorite vendors, but it will be  up to you to book them individually. If you choose our Platinum or Elite, we plan a second meeting, review our list of favorite professionals and let the text messages fly! Once we assist you in nailing down your foundation, our preferred vendors will be in touch with you to make extra sure you both are a great fit. They will hold your date  until contact is made and the two of you meet with them. Imagine! Knowing right off the rip you have an amazing team supporting you from start to finish! All tiers are customizable so if you have your own favorite  vendor just let us know! If you decide to have us add services at a later date, that is totally fine--we just can not guarantee securing your date with our preferred vendors.  But we will assist in finding available professionals!!

Are there vendor restrictions? You can bring in your favorite DJ, caterer, florist etc however, we do require our bartenders. We do require the use of chafing dishes for caterers so no crockpots or cookers are necessary. It is imperative that we know square footage of anyone bringing in extra equipment as well--ie photo booth vs magic mirror. Usually never an issue--it just helps us help you determine placement!
